I ripped, cleaned and remixed this old clip I found of Gene Vincent & the Blue Caps singing "Rip it up" on the "Town Hall Party" TV show circa October 25, 1958. Gene Vincent was just about rock and roll's earliest "bad boy" and first rock star to wear black leathers. Lengend goes that after hearing "Be-Bop-A-Lula," Elvis' bassist, Bill Black, accused Elvis of making the record secretly. View the video at YouTube
